I met a man on here, who claimed he was seriously looking for a long term relationship. Said he had been single for 7 years, even went to the bother of verifying his age, occupation, photos and became a certified millionaire. We communicated by email, and phone for 5 weeks. Everything seemed to be moving along well until this weekend. He suddenly professed he is not ready for a serious relationship and he is too wrapped up in getting his divorce finalized. He asked me to keep his contact information because he would like to pick up where we left off once he is ready. I don’t know what to think about this guy now. Can you help me?
Just a quick note to let you know I will be leaving the site. I appreciate all the encouragement you have given me and I am so thankful you convince me to hang in here, it finally paid off! I met my lifelong partner a few months ago. As usual I was very skeptical at first, due to all of the fakes I had come in contact with, but thank gawd, I proceeded cautiously with eyes wide open, as you suggested. I had my first date with Jack 5 months ago and for the most part we have been together ever since. My faith has been renewed, TRUE LOVE can be found on here. Your patience, understanding and encouragement led me down a path I would not have gone and I thank you for that. Jack thanks you too (I think). Keep up the good work here. I know you must pull your hair out most days dealing with members such as myself, but please know how much your help is appreciated. Hugs to you and I hope MM knows they made a wise decision when they made you counselor for the site.
I am a 58 yr. old man and I am looking for a serious/possibly leading to marriage relationship with a woman in my age bracket, but it seems all the women I have met, immediately are walking me down the isle. I am not the type to lead anyone on and I make my feelings known from the get go. Even though I make it clear that I don’t think we are a good match, the women continue to want to be friends and email daily. Quite honestly I do not have time for MORE friends, so often times I ignore their emails, only to be told how RUDE I am. Is there a better way for me to handle this?
Being new to the online dating thing, I made a huge mistake and emailed several men my phone number and personal email address. What should I do now?
My age is 60 but I'm told I don't look it. I'm not having any luck with this website :( - am I too old?
I have been in contact with someone since January. We live 1300 miles apart. He calls me 4-5 times a week and we talk for hours. He has offered to pay my way to fly down to see him and put me up in a hotel. I am not comfortable with that and would prefer he come to see me. He says that it is tough for him to get away from work. I do not want to be the pursuer, but I am growing frustrated with not having met him yet. Please advise.
I have winked at several gentlemen in my age group and have been contacted seriously by only one person. Two men who contacted me would not send any verification of who they were, and never contacted me again after I asked for verification. They are still on this site. I am frustrated, because I send out lots of winks and brief messages. What am I doing wrong?
I feel frustrated about my dates. Seems to me that all men are insisting to have a sex from the very beginning. For me it's totally inappropriate: I need time to know my partner better. But when I began to speak about knowing each other better, taking time to become a friends first, they disappeared. What should I do to prevent myself from such philanderers?
Next weekend I will be meeting this guy for the first time and I am as nervous as can be. It has been years since I have been thrown into the dating world and I really don’t have a clue what to expect. Do you have any pointers for me?
Hello, Please can you give me a few pointers on my profile. I am 61, but do not fit in any age category or lifestyle that I can see. I am very young at heart and not what my age reveals. I am not attracted to men my age, as they seem too old for me. And I don't want to be a "cougar" either. What do you think? Thanks Beverly
